Is your junior ranger ready for spring?

Posted by Sales Manager on 3/25/2015 to New Products
Each year, about this time, in the weeks surrounding the vernal equinox, members of the National Park Service make the transition from winter uniform to summer uniform. Most noticeable is the change from long sleeves to short shirtsleeves; or felt hat to straw-textured flat hat; or the leaving off of wearing a tie to the open-collared look of the summer shirt. Is your junior ranger ready for spring? For outdoor photo opportunities and educational fun? Colorado National Monument Association is pleased to offer a full line of junior ranger attire in the visitor center bookstore and online. For infants through size 6, we have available the classic green and gray combination of dress shorts and button shirt. To keep the sun off, a necessary accompaniment to the basic uniform is the green, bucket-hat-style, junior ranger hat in two sizes. School-aged junior rangers find our green fisherman-style vest a wearable banner on which to display various junior ranger badges earned at the many National Parks and National Monuments. How does one go about becoming an official Junior Ranger? By completing the workbook and taking a pledge to protect the natural world. You can pick up a Colorado National Monument Junior Ranger Workbook at either entrance gate, at the visitor center, or by downloading it from the Colorado National Monument National Parks website. Come up to the Colorado National Monument visitor center at 1750 Rim Rock Drive to outfit your child, grandchild, niece or nephew in authentic-looking green and gray -or order now, right here online at rimrockshop.com.
